Hi, does anyone know where we can get a spare offside rear lamp cover for a conway cruiser 1997 model, and does anyone have any opinions on the best competitive price for folding camper insurance.

I would either go direct to Pennine Leisure - they now show a good list of spares on their web site - or a local dealer. As to insurance, it really is a question of shopping around, although if you join the Conway Owners Club you should be able to get a small discount from their associated insurer.

When I had my Cruiser, if I wanted to know/get anything for it I always rang Graham Shuck of Tent Valeting Services 01204 708131 in the first instance.  He is very knowledgeable on Conways.

The best insurance for our cruiser was with SAGA, but that depends whether you are in the relevant age group.....

If you join the Conway owners club and then contact Bakers quoting your membership no. they give a 20% discount that makes their quote very competitive. We have had good service from them.

I was checking the Pennine website the other day for a new wardrobe slider. I thought it was a little expensive, £28 + postage and packing, for a bit of plastic. Still, I got over the shock and have decided to order one this week. Where else am I going to get one? They got me good.

this is the sequence of emotions I felt -

Hi Karl

Regarding the wardrobe slider...

I bought on of those too - be careful though - the hinge may not be wide enough for your cruiser - my cruiser is a 1991 model and the metal hinge on the slider does not go right across the back of the wardrobe.  The more modern conways have the wardrobe door in a different position (facing the sink) and hence the hinge attaches to the side of the wardrobe instead of the back of the wardrobe.

I agree, however, that the conway price is ludicrous given that the slider looks very much like some sort of curtain track !!

cheers

Mike

Hello all

We have a Conway Crusader and Insurance via Bakers who we have found to be great in processing a recent claim for canvas damage.

If you are looking for a rear light cluster for a Cruiser then i think this is the one on the Pennine web site - check with them first though.

http://www.thepenninegroup.co.uk/products/spares-catalogue/lighting-and-reflectors/light-rear-oside-product.html

I f your is like mine double, double check the red triangle in the centre of the cluster and make sure you buy the correct one i.e. with the triangle pointing upwards (the one in the picture is point downwards!) as they do not have different catalogue numbers you need to quote"near side" or "off side" when ordering. They come complete with lamps in them also (should do for that price though!)

Hope this helps

Andy
