Help

we have a NEW Sunncamp 400SE with the large awning, The instructions are written by the same person who does IKEA. Does any one have a website with better instrcutions or any ideas. To put up took 3 hours , and then down 2 hours but the material is in a heap as we can not get it to fit back in the bag !!!

we have just brought a suncamp 400se from sk camping and they showed us how to put the awning up. the picture is usless as it shows the trailer tent aswell but the way he explained it and showed me how to put it up makes it look very easy. just treat it as two sections not one.  lay it out on the ground first before putting it up and it will be so much easier. also number or colour code the poles.

hope that helps.

We got one September ex display. We tried to put it together the following weekend, but they forgot to put instructions in. They sent them by post later that week. Still no wiser. Took us hours to put up, got some coloured tape and marked the poles. I wish sunncamp had better instructions.

I am so pleased to read these we are picking up our Sunncamp 400 se tomorrow.  However hopefully the colour coded pole bags the shops puts them in will help.   Can't wait to try and put it up and then start using it.

We are picking our new Sunncamp 400se TT after Easter, apparently the shop is doing a demo on collection.  Sounds like we should allow plenty of time for the first time we put her up.  Our first weekend in her will be a UKCS meet in May

Hi everyone,

We used to have a sunncamp 400se and loved it. The best way to put the awning up is to zip it onto the cabin first and fold it back onto it out of the way .Then constuct your first stage of poles and then pull it over leaving the second stage folded back out of the way. Then construct your second set of poles and pull across to finish. Its easy once you have done it a few times and also colour coding the poles helps to make it fast and simple. Pegging out is what takes the most time.

When packing away leave the whole of the awning attached ,just fold it back onto the cabin and then it is ready for next time without the messing around zipping it back on again. Its so much easier.Good luck.

Tom.

Like maddie said were picking ours up in a couple of weeks time and in the words of baldrick " I have a cunning plan ". May look stupid when we collect it but will put the coloured tape on the poles before it's taken down at the demo .

We got our suncamp yesterday and erected it and we did find the instructions a bit tricky to follow as the diagram is shown in 3d drawing so you have to do a bit of head scratching to work it out. What I did find yesterday is in future I may well make the first part of the awning up then put the canvas over it or may look at getting a pair of steps to use as it is rather tall in the middle even for a 5ft11 bloke like me .
