Whether or not any trailer has brakes depends largely upon the weight of the trailer:- if it weighs more than 750kg, it is a legal requirement that it be braked.
I think all folding campers exceed the 750kg limit and are braked - I don't know any that are not. I have no direct experience of the Countyman, and so cannot help much there, however Conway units are generally of good quality and hold their value well.
