Hi there, thought I'd let you know about my experiences with trailer tents and e-bay. We fancied a trailer tent and bought a really old one off e-bay, the problem was I was a bit naive on both fronts and didnt get the man selling the trailer tent to put it up completely for me when we went to pick it up, then found out when we got home that half the poles were missing! But we got it up and running and it was great (a Conway corniche) Anyway after a couple of years in the really old TT we decided that we enjoyed the camping life and decided to treat ourselves to a more up to date model. I scoured e-bay for weeks watching what was coming and going and bidding on and losing out on a few and I have to say that I think most of the TTs on e-bay were going for high prices but I wasn't sure where else to look, then I found a site called "preloved" on which I found my new TT. It's a sunncamp, and I have to say lovely as it is, being all newish (4years old) I don't think the quality is as good as the Conway. So my advice to you would be to buy out of the local paper so that you can go and see the tent up and check it out thoroughly before you buy

If you are looking for a Conway have a look on the conway owners web, as we have a sale board there and a lot of the TTs &FCs are owned by members, and if you are worried abouy it being stolen or whatever we regester all chassis nos with club, if it is stolen and ends up on a sale board any where and people whant to know about it we have all the details.

We used our brand-new Cabanon Stratos this weekend for the first time, after a couple of years of tent camping - and we absolutley loved it (look here - http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=10&TopicID=61465&PagePosition=1).

It was easy to put up, absolutley no hassle to tow - in fact you tend to forget it is there and had loads of space. The beds were very comfortable and we were a lot warmer than sleeping on the floor. All our kit goes into the trailer for transporting so more space in the boot for clothes, food and beer! Before we always had avery full boot back seat (including the kids) and a roof box!

We are away in it again this weekend in Tywyn and I can't wait.
