Hi, we have been looking at selling our van and buying a folding camper for a little while now and have just arranged to view a 2000 Trigano 575 Lx on Monday. It is advertised for £2,300, with awning and a bedroom annexe - does the price sound right and what should we look for? If anyone has one I would appreciate your views on this model.

Thanks

Pam

Hi Pam

I do not know what price it should be but having seen a couple of these Folding Campers I think they are really good value for money  Trigano is an excellent company. All the best and hope you get a good deal

I am not sure of pricing but at that price you can't go wrong if it is in good condition.  The bedroom annexe alone costs over £200. We have a 575lx and make do with a universal annexe.  They are big roomy campers and we have had 4 adults and 2 kids in camper and another adult in annexe.  We only bought ours last autumn and it has taken a bit of stick and come through it.

Hi Pam,

We have a 2003 575 TC and are very pleased with it. We bought it locally 2 years ago and when visiting the dealer at the end of last year he had a 2000 LX model for sale at £4500!  I don't know what it sold for but your one seem very reasonable.

We had a Trigano to see if we would enjoy folding campers after a 5 year break from camping.

We previously had tents, m'caravans and caravans so we thought fc's might be roughing it a bit but we were wrong. Fc's are great - dead easy to tow with a bicycle, loads of space, you're off the floor and you have luxurys like running water, fridge and lighting.

After a year we swopped the Trigano for a Pullman for the sprung mattresses and hot water and after 40 years experience, this is camping bliss.

Having said that we have not managed to get away in it this year yet. With new grandchild arriving, funeral and weather and other happenings, I have had to content myself with dreaming on here.

A week in a hotel in the lakes was our consolation prize and next week rain is forecast but we will be rolling soon.

Thanks to all of you for your respomse.[:D] We have managed to sell our caravan and purchased the Trigano which is in very good condition and only been used about 10 times. We are going away for a few days over the BH weekend and can't wait to try it. Does anyone have advise on putting up the awning and is it the same as a caravan awning?

Thanks

Pam

Hi Pam there are some threads on here about putting up the awning.  Yes I think it is simular too a caravan, only you have to zip it on. We use to have the Trigano 575 TC we were very happy with it.  The pics on my gallery are of ours, we sold it last September.

Iam sure you will really enjoy it.

Jaymo
