Diamondlady - have you seen this? it may be in your price range, as long as you like ebay.

tentpegjenny - Sorry I didn't get to speak to you properly I just needed to talk to Tom before I forgot what I needed to say and it was the only time in the whole weekend that I actually got to see him. Did you have a good time? The rallies can be quite hectic and I end up balancing the kids needs with paying attention to the AGM.

No problem could see you had things to discuss.

Yes did have a good time, did not take teenagers to the AGM as they are really at the wrong age for that sort of meeting.  People were unbelivably kind and helpful and it was a really beautiful campsite at which I would have liked to spend more time. Am struggling to try and remember everybodies names.

Diamondlady - have you seen this? it may be in your price range, as long as you like ebay.:

Thank you Yes I have seen it and I am watching it- unfortunatly It states it has no Awning and  I really need an awning- with a big family plus I need to put the Dog's in the awning too......

With this being OLD- could I get an awning to fit-? and in the same colour?

Im watching Ebay but if anyone see's anything can they let me know Please!

Im a novice with these so I need all the help I can get!

I'm hoping I might be lucky at the end of the season - or the start of next year- when people might put on an outfit I can afford with outfit and awning!

Im not in a rush so I can take my time- plus the longer i wait the more I can put to one side so I might be able to get something newer- I've nothing against older one's though as I used to have a classic caravan.

Some people (like Thumper) use a free standing awning against their unit instead of a genuine awning. The awnings do come up for sale on their own but not that often. you'd be better to wait for a unit with an awning to come up if you really want one.

Theres a Designer on ebay with an original awning. Be warned though I found the awning a swine to put up & I now use a standalone its much easier.

THUMPER.

...sorry could,nt get the ebay link to work.  I,m a complete arse when it comes to computers..

Diamondlady. If you are in Shrewsbury again, give me a ring, phone number on advert Bargain Conway Cardinal Clubman.  I put the camper up yesterday to give it an airing.  You could come and look. You will be under no obligation to buy. I just thought it may be useful for you to see one up in order to give you some idea of what you need/want.

I am not in that desperate a hurry to sell it, except that it is now taking up room, what with the caravan as well.  It just seems a shame that it is not being used at the moment. I keep looking at it and will be sorry to see it go

As the Dandy has no awning rail. I put the flap which would attach to the rail over the roof & run 2 guys over the roof & through the eyelets on the otherside of the roof & down to secure on the A frame either side of the front box. At the front I tuck in the side flaps & pull the whole thing tight to the unit & secure with guys. All this is secured with Delta pegs. If its extra blowy I may fit an awning securering strap. It keeps the water out ok as was proved by one night of heavy rain a while back. It may sound a bit of a bodge but it looks ok & is very secure when in place. I,ll have some photos when I put it up next weekend. I,ll post them in my gallery. I used to have a tunnel type standalone which got damaged during some building works at my house. This went up pretty much the same exept I tucked the flap under the roof. The tunnel did,nt seem as secure as my conventional awning though. But still done the job ok.

Regards THUMPER.

Diamondlady      We have had a change of heart and decided that it seems a shame it is not being used and also it is taking up space here so a price reduction is in order.  Before i readvertise i thought i would let you know.

There are awnings to fit that will also take a bedroom extension, such as the Sunncamp Galaxy porch awning. This could possibly solve your slleeping requirements.

I take it you have you static on a site here. I live just outside Shrewsbury.

thanks for all those who answered my questions- Unfortunatly I ended up in hospital- and all thought of camping got put on the back burner-

Im still looking at Dandys- but wont have the cash now till next year. Hubby has expressed an Interest in buying another old Carlight Caravan trouble is we need a 4 berth and there almost impossible to find! and I'd have to take out a loan!!!!

when on a recent trip out I saw a man put up a big tent- it was up in seconds- one of these  new (to me) sort of light weight pop-ups- it was a roundish dome shape with bedrooms off the side's- it was the speed in which he put it up that amazed me- and I mean it was seconds- no threading poles through- it sort of popped up- can anyone point me in the direction of this sort of tent?

I was going to speak to the man but he just got out of his truck- pulled the tent out of its bag- it popped up- he pegged down the 4 corner's and a couple of other guy ropes and then went off - when I got up the next morning- the tent and everything had gone!- and the man and his family of 4-5? where heading down the road- off either home or to the next site?  so I never got the chance!

can anyone help?

After reading through all your replies (And there were a few !)

No one suggested the Raclet "Quick Stop" TT.

It is very easy to put up - No pegging out.

The cooker can be used inside the TT.  and there are cupboards in the TT.#

It is a 4 berth but on the occasions when there are other members of family, The awning can be used or not .  -  There are optional "Add-ons"  for extra sleeping acommodation / Wardrobe / toilet. Or they could sleep in a separate tent
