i am new to the site but i have read so far all looks good

i am going to reproof my conway trailer tent, i have read somewhere that thomsons waterproofer does a good job, does anyone have any experiance of this or what would your recommendations be many thanks for any help  mick

Wear a mask  if you are going to spray this stuff can cause lung damage. or better still use a brush.

The Fabsil stuff is good -- a few years ago I was on a step ladder reproofing my TT and tipped it over my head (The Fabsil that is). Hair is still waterproof despite 4 years of shampoo.

If this is the case i wouldnt recommend you do it on a campsite

 thompsons water seal on sale in homebase & b&q or any diy store at £9,99

  for 5 litre tin its only

 the same as using fabsil

Welcome to the mad house, there is an even madder group over on the conway owners web, there has been a thread on ther also about using thomsons, that you might want to look at aswell. Have you thought of joining the owners club? we can answer all questions about conway's old and new. as someone has said use a mask and let the unit stand for a couple of days or it will stink, you might be able to put the awning up on its own without the main sleeper if the poles are seperate from the main, but it is best to ask someone who has the same unit. any way good luck.

went searching for thompsons but neither my B&Q nor Focus had any and I couldn't even see where it might have been.

So bought 2.5L of fabsil and am hoping to do mine today - it's the first time I've put it up....so to speak since buying it and for a unit that's about 24 years old I'm mighty impressed!!
