Hi Samantha

We have just brought a sunncamp 400se trailer tent from Ebay, after looking at them at our local camping shop, we decided this was the one for us.  Ours is a 2003 model which we paid £1120 for, it has hardly been used & came with sooooo many bits, except a spare wheel, so we've got to order one of those.  Try & get one with the electric hook up leads/rcd as they cost a few bob & also if they have the under-beds that use-full as they can cost abit aswell.  Depending on how many peeps you are taking with you, I would suggest a minimum of the 350 model, otherwise abit small.  There is only 2 of us, but we felt with the huge awning etc it suited us fine, then if friends or family want to tag along, there is plenty of room!  We have yet to go camping yet, but we have put the t/t up which was fun!!!!!

There is one running out on ebay today, which is the same as ours, if I remember correctly!!!  Any other info you need, dont hesitate in contacting.....

Good luck & keep us posted

Regards Tina

we bought a 1997 raclet herald last year for just under £700. it too came with extras like the 1.2m awning extention, spare wheel, side storage bars and under pup tent.
it's quite large, 6.7m x 4.5m, but we've just had our first weekend away in it.

so check ebay for raclet too, and they have their own forum:

Then try and get a unit which you can just put up the main unit for short stops and the "awning" for longer holidays. Having to do loads of pegging for a Saturday is a pain.

I agree with Jan, go for a unit that you don't have to use the awing with if you're on a short trip. We never out our awning up if we are staying less than three nights.

Advice on the awning is very sound. We had a Coneway until 2 months ago (which I do miss because they're total quality) and the kitchen had to be detached fron the main unit which drove the need to erect the awning - pain for a 2 night stay. Good advice folks.

Matt
