Well, reproofing usually gets done every four to five years or so according to popular wisdom here. . Having said that, my second-hand TT is seventeen years old, has never been reproofed and is dry as a bone inside.

So either the previous owner goes by the same old-fashioned theory as my TT`s previous owner,...that is, good quality cotton canvas doesn`t necessarily need extra waterproofing...or they mean it`s been done recently. You should find out which it is though, because once you start treating the canvas, you need to keep doing it regularly.

There have been several threads recently on how to load a TT correctly and what`s best to keep where. Lots of info and tips! The general rule of thumb though is to centre heavy items over the axle so the trailer is balanced, keep heavy items down on the trailer floor and in side boxes and put light items such as pillows and duvets under the transit cover.

Incidentally, you do need to slow down for speed bumps when towing a TT otherwise it will bounce over the bump in an unnervingly rattly way! And make sure you have your secondary coupling done up, and the rear lights are fully functioning.
