Hi Trish

Im sure you will love the tt, we set ours up last weekend and to be honest it wasnt as horrendous to put up as welthought it would be. We have almost booked a week away in Barmouth (or surrounding area) in August so will then put up some pics when we have some. We used to go tent camping alot before we had kids and our last tent (Kyham 4 man tent) we thought would be perfect for the family until we came to use it last year.....it was basically far too small and it was totally unsuitable. We almost bought another tent a weeks ago but when we saw the tt we decided that although costly, it would suit our needs much better. Our kids are only young (3+4) but they loved camping and I am sure we will get a good few years out of this purchase

hi, sorry it's took me so long to answer your last post, but been busy. went to a dog show today, collie came 3rd for most handsome older dog!! say no more, the weather was boiling so we didn't stay all day. we have been tent camping for the last 3 years in our outwell colorado5 tent, which is fine for 3/4 but any more +2 dogs and it gets overcrowded! we had gone to get a bigger tent and one that had a ground sheet fitted in, no more bugs!!, when we saw the TT, and as steve says he wants a bit of comfort in his old age, nearly 50!! he says he's getting to old to get down on the floor every night, he also hopes that now the kids are getting older, 20 and 13 that they won't be coming with us as much, can't see jono (13) letting us leave him behind!! we were going away for the weekend to try it out but he said he'd work, look at the weather we've had, he could kick himself!! right keep in touch, see you tricia

We have taken the plunge and purchased our first trailer tent a Cabanon Atlantis which we will be picking up at the weekend. We have had some bad experiences with tents previously bought a vango tunnel tent( sagged like anything) and a kyham (always floppy where the outer touched the sleeping inner tents). so we are praying that we will not have any major issues with this tent. We have bought new £3000 so hope it will last us a long long time. I have been busily scanning all the posts to pick up ideas but there is just too many of them!!!

Hope you don,t mind me asking but have you got an instruction book that i could have a copy of [will pay]. the reason is that we have just upgraded from a tent to a trailer tent and have bought a great hardly used cabanon galaxy which is the same as the atlantis but there was no instructions with it, more concerned how to do poles for awning .any help would be very welcome

Thanks for reading

Zel

hi zel, just got back from a week in settle north yorks and it was lovely, the TT was a little harder than we thought it was going to be the book say's 30mins to put it up, but i think they ment that for the bed bit cos it took us nearly 4 hours!! god knows where we went wrong it could be that the stratos is all zips and new zips are not the easiest of this to do up, or it could be that it was our first time and we really didn't know what we were doing!! but it has got to be easier next time, hope so any way!! i'll let you know

Oh my goodness 4 hours.....Im sure with a bit more practice you will have this time shortened.  Was this your first time or did you have a go in the garden (lol).  Was the tt good though and did it meet your expectations? We have booked to go away mid August for a week but I'm trying to convince my wife to go away for a weekend locally. By the way you need to update your gallery pics now with your new Stratos

Chris

yes it was our first time and no we didn't have a go in the garden as our garden isn't really big enough!! i'm sure it won't take as long next time, but we tryed to put it up like the man said to at the show room, he had said to put the bed bit up then zip the awning to it then throw the awning over the top of the bed, it's how they do it, not being funny but i'm not that tall and we're not young fit people like they are and we just couldn't do it!!! it must have took us 30mins to realise we just couldn't do it!!  so we tryed another way, as you do, so next time we shouldn't be as long. It was lovely when we had every thing sorted a few things we would change if we'd designed it but there is plenty of room, a lot more than we thought there was going to be. going away again soon so will take some pics of it then. l would agree with you on the local weekend away, just to get you used to it, we couldn't do it ourselves as steve was working so looking forward to see how long it takes us next time!!!!
