ok so many differant kinds so many differant prices 10ltr 12 ltr what is best for a family of 4 ith 2 young children please need to get one this week what brand is best or does it matter? Help needed

I can't give you a really technical response I'm afraid, as I am a newbie, but I managed to get the thetford pota loo that was on offer at Lidls for £29 pounds, and it is quite small, but great. I suppose it depends on your budget and how often you will be using it (!) and if you mind frequent emptying ( although those two are inter- related really) If it is used then I prefer to empty regularly rather than gather it up if you see what I mean

Personally I think its more a question of storage than capacity. The bigger ones are really heavy to carry. We had a cheap one and it was just as good as our proper one is now.

We couldn`t make our minds up last year but we opted for the larger toilet as we`re both tall and didn`t fancy the falling over in the middle of the night whilst trying to sit on a smaller one.

we bought  a small thetford last year. only use it last thing at night + morning.been camping 20 + yrs always used site toilets before.now wouldnt go without it.

Soz Jan not suggesting that your small but I know that when I`ve had a drink or two (as us campers do), it`s a long way down and even longer back up. I `ve gone posh this year got a toilet tent with the new camper, not tried it yet but if I fall over there will be a lot of rustling.Must remember to peg it down well.
