And it was bloody fantastic. We went to a local site in Tiverton 'Minnows' what a beautiful site, best Ive ever been to, so personal, and right on the canal for long walks with the dog, and nice pubs on route..

Took nearly 3hrs to set up, overcoming a few problems!!! 1 pole was crushed at the end, so couldnt add the joining pole!!!!

My electric lead was 10mtrs to short, the warden saw, and loaned me one, no quibbles :-)

Then watched the football....cryed, drank more wine.

Sunday morning came to pack away, and the biggest thunderstorm anf torential rain came...Just had it open on the drive, and its now all dried out :-) ready for the next trip in 6 weeks.

Sorry to go on, but wanted to share my 1st experience..

football......... was all to drunk to remember that.as to packing away it also rained with us just as we where going to start rained for about 30mins left to dry in the scorching hot sunshine packed away all dry.thank goodness.

Glad you had a great time, shame about the pole but sure you can get this fixed/replaced.

3hours tho', have to work on your setup (was going to type the E word but refrained) how much cussing can one do in that time :)

Took us about the same time to set up the first time, now down to an hour and half including all pegging out etc.  Enjoy yourselves.

3 hours is about right first time!

I'm on my first year with a new groovy stratos (dome tt) done 3 trips already and looking to do loads more. Down to under an hour now - it's easier when wife actually does what you tell her to do and then reads your mind the rest of the time!

Recommend Morfa Dinlle (expensive) near Caernarvon and definately Plassey near Wrexham - not Cilan Fawr, Abersoch though (nice people but exposed site).

Anyone else got any top site recommendations or otherwise for TT/FCs?

I 2 am from Barnstaple my first outing was in umberleigh at the ccc site there but even though it was down the road my kids thought it was a million miles away and took us about 3 hours also but dont worry you will get quicker i hope!
