You can get old Dandy folding campers for around £200 have a look on ebay.  Ours cost around that and me and the kids have had great fun with it.

Thanks all - I think I'm more or less stuck on a sunncamp 400 although I really like the look of the camplets - but there are no stockists near us (Nottingham) I think we will probably go for a new one as they are selling for £2000 here and I've noticed people still selling them on for £1500 at a couple of years old, so if we really don't enjoy it we won't be losing too much, my hubby works at a caravan dealers so we should get a good discount on alot of the accesories - pity they can't get us the tt!!!

Dear Wendy, Just thought I'd let you know that we have just returned from our first family holiday in our Sunncamp 350. We have 4 kids 7,6,3 and 11 months - we had a ball. We bought ours secondhand its about 4 years old and stood up to all the weather really well. It was really easy to tow, just as well, we went from Scotland to Weymouth and back!

Cheers, Jane

We have bought a second hand 400se and its wonderful ! We had a large dome tent before but found it a bit chilly of an evening and not much space for our two boys to amuse themselves if it happened to rain. The 400 se is the complete opposite. loads of space and comfy cosy sleeping up off the ground in the huge kingsize beds. Bit of a caffuffle putting it up but we used to row putting up the tent too ! As they say practice makes perfect. Cant wait to go away in it again in 4 weeks !

We bought a Camplet, didn't let the only stockists being in Manchester stop us. (we live in London!) . It was most definitely worth it, as they are SO easy to put up. We've just bought the extra bedroom as well so now can sleep six! It really is a dream.
