Hi
I'm delighted to find this site full of experienced and expert campers as we are returning to it after a very long absence and am hoping someone can offer some advice...
We have almost decided to buy the Outwell Oklahoma Day Tent to use in the garden and for extra space when camping but I have a few lingering doubts and won't have the £ to spend again if I get it wrong!
Does it have big PVC windows as well as the little triangular ones on the side pillars? If not and just has mesh and nylon cover on the big ones, does it feel claustrophobic in the rain with big windows covered?
Do one or more of the 4 sides peg out for extra shade? If so are the poles/guys supplied?
I've read that it narrows in at the top making it feel smaller than 3m square. Would it feel big enough for family of 4 plus baby in wide based high chair to cook and eat in comfort?
Already feeling frustrated just reading about the spinning pole problems. We would normally be erecting it at home with just two adults and 9 and 6 yr old (if in helpful mode). Is this feasible.
I have looked at SunnCamp option but Outwell tents always seem better quality than SunnCamp to me. Also Khyam but models so confusingly named and specified that I have given up and ruled them out! Any advice on any of them or a better alternative welcomed. I have also seen a 'Royal' brand on a website by the way but have never heard of them before so again possible quality issue.
Would love to see one or more models up to view in our area (South Notts), but despite plethora of tent shows in our area every summer they only seem to stock pop up gazebos!
