I have seen them on a Conway, The rack was made by Conway and as long it the box is fitted correctly I think it should not be an issue, but it would be best to see what others think as well.
hi seen it lots, but the only thing is you have to take it off to unload the trailer.
if it was us we would keep the roofbox on the car so odays out you can put big items in the roofbox, but thats us we have 3 children and have to take the trolley, changing bag etc etc so we throw it all in the roofbox and it leaves us the boot free for shopping lol
I'm hoping we could get away with not taking it off - we have a Camplet - the whole thing opens out, and the roof box shouldn't be too tall to stay on there (empty, obviously!). The Camplet comes with a rack. We thought it would cause less wind resistance than on top of the car. We're not planning on putting anything bigger than a sunlounger, badminton kit, swing ball and the odd pillow in there! Advantage over leaving them on the rack without a box is they will at least be locked up when we stop at services.
Had both on mine,The roof bag is better if you use the under bed storage but the roof box is easier to use. The cross bars on the camplet are a bit to close together I find so I fitted reinforcement strips lengthways inside the box.I used the ordinary u bolts to fit both with a stainless penny washer between the u bolt and the camplet lid. My box is as far forward as it can go,but it only has light weight gear in it- bedding, ground sheet and underbed storage-so the nose weight is fine. There is usually loads of clearance for the box when the camper is open.

We use one on the Conway and another on the car. Bedding goes in the one on the TT. We use a long narow Halfords one with 360 litres capacity and still have room for four bikes. But you're right I have to take it all off before we can unpack the trailer. Just to check I took it down to the local quarry fully loaded and weighed it on their weighbridge. I squeak it in at just 600kg which is the maximum payload and a bit of careful balancing gives me 7% noseweight.
