Hi jonah,
with out seeing the job it's difficult to say how easy a repair would be, but it seems to me you have two repair options:-
#1 Have the old threads recut to accept a thread insert (this involves cutting the thread bigger than standard size, then an insert is screwed into the hole and fixed with a thread locking compound.) The insert is the correct size for your original bolts to screw into.
#2 Have the holes bored out to accept studs which are pressed in to a tight fitting hole. You would then require nuts to screw onto the studs to hold the wheel on.
Both of these options would require a far degree of mechanical knowledge to do yourself or you could try a local garage who might be willing to tackle the job or point you in the direction of an engineering firm who would be able to do it.
The other option which would probably more expensive is a caravan specialist who would put you a new hub on. Being an American? Folding Caravan they might not be able to get the right hubs and may need to replace both sides with a more easily obtainable english make.
hope this helps (& i hope it makes sense), Darren
