used pathfinder - people never use them as much as they plan to so there are bargains about......but wouldn't fit in our garage so we had to pay a miserable ole get storage fees and it was an effort to go and collect it from him - we never made it when he wasn't there!!Therefore swings n roundabouts......

Hi there,

thanks for all off your replies.

We have been camping in Llandwrog for the weekend. Torrential rain, 40 mph winds with a weather warning of flooding in the area !

Oh we laughed. Seriously we had a great time. So much so, on our way home we stopped at Casey's near Chester. We saw a lovely Pennine Fiesta 2002 for £4295.

We decided we love camping would appreciate a little more comfort and so snapped it up from under the noses of some people who where ooing and arghing whether to buy it or not. I did feel a little guilty for that, but not much.

I am now happy we have made the right decision. Saved some money buying Used, Casey's is a very reputable dealer and I can store in my garage or on the drive.

If we like it as much as I expect then maybe will splash out on a pathfinder in a few seasons but I expect we will have a great time in the Fiesta until then.

So here I am, chuffed and ringing around to get a towbar fitted. Am I right in thinking a tow bar fitted should be £150 to £200 all in ?

Pengwyn.

Have fun!! Tow bar prices can vary a lot - there are companies that will fit at home for no extra if you search a bit...

ps I like Caseys too!!

Congrats on your new fc.  You won't regret it!  We never stop grinning when we're tucked up in ours!  Good luck with the towbar fitting and make sure you get twin electrics so you can run your fridge on the way to campsites as well as from 240v when you get there.  Ours is a detachable one and cost nearer £300 fitted, but I think we went for best quality and it cost more to fit our BMW.  We haven't regretted a penny we've spent on our camper though.  Happy fcing!

Our towbar plus twin electrics was well under £200. The more common a car the cheaper the bar me thinks.

I have settled on a scrap yard towbar for £30 and a local towbar specialist will fit for £35.

Sounds like a bargain.
