having enjoyed a year with conway cruiser we are luoking to possibly upgrade to a caravan - 4 berth. Does anyone know if there are any vans out there for around £500. We know we wont need any thing too fancy but just a basic waterproof rig out will do us nicely!!!!! Thanks for your suggestions in advance

Upgrade?

To a caravan?

£500 isn't going to buy you that great a deal in terms of caravan.  We bought a van at the start of this year - we did upgrade from a Pathfinder, I have to agree wtih the previous comment though, the Sterling is a better bet than a cheap caravan.

Changing to a caravan is definitely not upgrading.

Loss of space, weight increase when manouvreing and towing, bed construction am and pm, storage, wind effect from passing trucks and drag causing instability and leaks - no thanks even if you paid me.

Been there but good luck.

PS And we were fortunate to be able to buy brand new single and twin axle caravans which we towed with new 2 LR Discovery's.
