Hi all

Quick question to anyone with a Pennine Pathfinder. Has anyone had any problems with the tap leaking? Ours appears to be leaking from the where the white bit joins the tap.
Just wondered if anyone knew if this was a common fault or not.

Thanx for your help.

They sell them in any caravan shop and from the pennine web site Lisa. £27 is the cheapest I've seen which is why I've been holding mine on to use it for 18 months! having it sorted at the service on wednesday but I grudge the money. Patrick is yours exactly the same as ours because 2002 has a sturdier version! ours now come with a sticked saying be careful ( which I was honest)

Ours is also a 2003 model, Jan, so should be exactly the same as yours. I can't recall seeing any warning sticker though.

I've got a Pullman 2005 (but the fittings are the same) on trying it out for the first time I noticed that water was coming from the white plastic bit. i contacted Caseys about it and took it back (they are well recommended by the way very helpful indeed). they changed the tap and stated that this has happend on quite a few of these models, it would appear that when they are being fitted at Pennine, they are using a brass nut to go on the nylon thread, this is ok but if it is anything more than hand tight it cracks the white plastic bit (pennine must be using tools of some sort as the bloke at caseys said that he could never undo them by hand) also make sure that you don't 'twist' it to close the lid this can make them crack also (especially if it is done too tight)

This is a known problem on 2005 models and Pennine should replace the tap assy. under warranty.
You need to speak to a lady called Katrina at Pennine, but you may need to go through your local dealer to get away without paying upfront.
If you do send your old one back, make sure you remove the conectors on the ends of the pipe first
