Hi all, Just got a bargain on Ebay. Its a folding trailer tent made from canvas. The previous owner recomended a re water proofing as it did leak after very heavy rain. My question is what product should I use and how easy is it to do myself.
Hi Berliner Beer - thompsons or similar from hardware store is much cheaper than fabsil & just as good!! If you do a search for waterproofing canvas you'll find some other threads on the subject
You can buy Thomsons from any diy shop (I bought from B&Q) at a cost of £9.99. It specifically states on the tin that it is suitable for proofing canvas, tents etc
the only difference that i could spot, was thomson's is slightly "yellow" and will darken the canvs slightly. no problem if you're doing it all. fabsil is clear so it shouldn't really alter the canvas colour.
