Being completely new to this !!!!!

Can a tap be fitted to the sink and how can I do this and an approx cost  . have 3 plug hook up from tent if thats a help. just a hole at the moment what do others do ?

cant see the point of a sink no tap ?? call me stupid !!!

Also do you put anything under the beds to make them more comfortable / warmer  havent had chance to lie on them yet to see how comfy but mattresses look thin ?

I hope someone can help

Hi maisy-mai!

Can't help with the tap, but we're trying out our new tt this weekend for the first time. I asked the mattress question and got several suggestions (see the thread 'Am sooo excited') We'll be trying out using airbeds as well as the mattresses so I'll let you know how it goes.

Someone will be along to answer the tap question soon

Hy maisy, we had a Sunncamp 350SE 2005 Model and we slept fine on the beds without nothing underneath. They are fairly comfy to be honest but it's up to you. Take something just in case.

In regards to the sink and tap we just used jerry cans and filled the sink up like that. You could put a tap in if you like but will have to make a hole obviously in the sink but then of coarse how will you shut the wooden tops unless you got one that would come off. The best one would be the foot pumped one as the electrical ones i think if you can get them like that are very expensive. I think you can get a hand or foot pumped pump for around £20 i think

oh a word of advice attach the awning to the main trailer before erecting the awning frame and then throw it over the trailer until frame erected. Otherwise it's bloody impssible to put it up.

Also where the beds are, the foam pads actually go inside the yellow innertent if that makes sense to make the beds bigger. If i think of anything else i'll let you know. Oh make sure you chock the wheels or else you may find you've moved pithces in the morning

Hi Maisy

as for the tap situation

yes it can be done

I made up a system that used a whale submersible pump like this

and an aquaroll water drum  all you  do is wire it up to a switch and get a good length of water pipe, secure the pipe to the pump and drop it into the drum and on the other end of the pipe make some form of outlet.

use the on off switch to deliver the water.

approx cost would be around £20 + water butt

Hiya

We've got a Cabanon Saturn tt which we love (but just don't get enough time to go away often ). We find the beds very comfortable indeed just as they are but OH and I both like a firmer mattress anyway. As Matman says - put the bench seat cushion inside the bedroom part to make the double into a kingsize and its much more comfy.

As for a tap, we put a footpump operated one in our sink after the first weekend away because it was just impossible without it. The tap itself folds away under the kitchen cover, so doesn't hinder.

My biggest piece of advice would be always have a fan heater because sometimes even in the summer, it can get nippy of an evening. We have a DeLonghi fan heater (always get EHU when away) that has a timer on it so that it stays on for half an hour after we have gone to bed and will come on first thing in the morning so its warm on getting up. I do hate to be cold whilst drinking my first caffeine of the day .

Have fun.

hi maisy-mai

the tap was already fitted to the sink when we got it as standard but it sat between the cooker and sink and the cover boards that came over the sink and cooker was shaped to allow it also it was not that tall it pressed down for storage

thanks leesa
