I bought my trailer tent last year from new and have used it 4 times, on coming back from Scotland this year the indicators and brake lights failed. I managed to trace it to the trailer board wire, where it emerges from the hole in the drop down flap on the kitchen unit. This hole has no rubber grommet on it to protect the wire, so after only a short period of time it has worn through and shorted out on the metal, blowing the fuse in the car. This happened as I was driving back to Somerset from Oban in the pouring rain having only covered 40 miles. If you have the same model, I suggest you check the wires at this location.

Hi, I have just bought the same model and read your post with interest. How have you managed to fix it, I looked under the rear of the trailer when I was buying it and remember the area you referred to and the hole the wiring appears through. I see what you mean but how and where would you get the right size gromit (or something) to avoid the wear and tear etc.

I take delivery in mid Feb so I could tell the dealer and see what his comments are before then, did you complain to your supplier?
