We sent a lorry for scrap (well onto its new life in Africa anyway) the other day & it was fitted with an Erbspasher night heater. These are fantastic bits of kit which I have used very,very often. I was toying with the idea of ripping it out & fitting it to my next Dandy. I do belive these feed off the diesiel tank. Must be a way to bodge one up somehow. My lorrys next to go so I may just do that !!

They use the Eberspacher diesel heaters a lot in motorhomes - of course they have a ready supply of diesel there. Can just see the forecourt attendants face if you pull your FC on & start filling it with diesel from the pump!

There was a gas heater in the floor of our Cardinal but I never dared use it in case one of the kids or dogs trod on it. I used a fan heater instead.

Trouble with blow heating vario is that it needs electricity to work!  With the old heaters, they relied simply on normal convection of air... So you could park indefinitely in a field without power and still remain warm!!
