Hi

Just purchased a New Pennine Pathfinder and see much to my amazement that there is no jack included incase of a flat tyre. Anyone got any advice as to the best for the job. Does it have to be a really expensive one from alko so as not to invalidate the warranty?

I would think that all you need do is wind the corner steadies down, but not being an expert could be wrong.  I am sure others will know.  Surely you wouldn't need a jack.

when we picked our Sterling up, the chap at the shop said that if we need to change a wheel, to just wind down the legs on the side of the wheel we want to change.  i do have to say though, we have not yet needed to try it.

Using corner steadies as jacks is not a good idea. They are not intended to be used that way and this could distort the frame . I bought a bottle jack to use on the trailer, but have found that the scissor jack on the car works just as well.

get the wife to life it up and then change the wheel you may get your hands dirty but you will save your back.
