I have just aquired a garage from a friend it will be my first year in a garage, will i need to take all my gear out for the winter or will it be ok to leave it in.

If the garage is dry and the trailer tent is dry then it will be ok left in, damp wise. But there couild possibly be a problem with mice making their home in the furnishings. I would make sure there is no food left in and check it regularly.
