I recently purchased a Sunncamp 400SE second hand. It is a 2004 model. It is a bit strange because the kitchen is missing from the back (or is it?)

I have phoned many Sunncamp suppliers who I get different stories from. Some say that some were supplied without from new and it must be a base model. Some say it may have been damaged in an accident and one dealer said it will not be road legal as it will be unbalanced. As you can imagine hearing this it has now put me off taking it on the road for safety reasons. Some quite different stories. I spoke to the original owner who said he had it like that from new. I find that hard to believe as the top cover looks to be older than the trailer and it is not a Sunncamp top it has been made to fit.

I priced up a genuine kitchen and top to be £900 so that is not an option. Does any one else own a 400SE supplied without a kitchen. It looks like a professional job and not bodged together at the back. It just has a swing door.

Can anyone advise me on what to do in my situation?

The cover is blue but definetly does not belong to that trailer. I looked at others and showed the sunncamp logo on the rear. this has been a made to fit cover but its very faded and is more than 2 years old. looks very odd.

Anyway i will see how i get on.

we had a conway t.t very similar to suncamp.the axle should be mounted in the middle,on ours there were two axle mounts,depending if you had the dl (kitchen) or the basic without.
