HI........   it depends on what kind of canvas you have, if f.i cotton, then you can try to dye exactly as dyeing your clothes, many years ago, doing a camping trip in England,I notished a combi camp, looking fine at distance, getting closer I could see tracks from a paintingbrush. Here in DK we buy the stuff needed, in shops where they sell paint ,wallcarpet etc.etc.------- abouth dyeing------

It happened one day, when I,-- as a good looking and handsom young fellow, was working in Fresno,California, as a butcher in a neighbourhood foodmarket, that an elderly lady from across the street entered the store,  I was alone in the store that moment, and she said,,,, "where's your RITZ, I am going to d..," --Ritz was a wellknown cracker brand, and I thought or said to myself, what the heck is she saying, she's going to d.. and want crackers, I told her that the Ritz were at the shelf with all the other crackers, but how can you say a thing like that, that you are going to d.., Then she said, " no, not that kind of Ritz,----  I am going to d.. my curtains"  then I said, oh well then it's a little further down to your left..... so I learned so much, there are two ways of d.....,---- you can dye,and you can die.......................the brandname of the coloring stuff, was also RITZ.

henning..........

don`t bother unless your got a lot of time in hand and somewhere to do it, you need the cold dye and need to apply with a brush as the canvas is not all the same colour is it. and do the pannels one at a time allowing them the dry first before moving onto the next one, after all thats done its hose it down to rinse the excess out and then dry again, then you need to waterproof it which will darken it even more.

ours is faded and when we reproofed the main canvas and not the awning you can see the big difrence in colour awning is pink the unit canvas is darker and more red.
so is it worth it to redye it when a reproof will bring it back to inbetween.
