I'm still struggling with getting my dandy destiny fully fuctional. I
bought it in September and was told it was all in good working
condition. (I got it from a dealer). Luckily it is still under
warranty so i am going to take it back to be checked, but i am
slightly worried that it may be just user error as i have absolutely
no idea what i'm doing.
I've tried the electrics on the mains, the lights and sockets work
very well off the mains but not off a battery. (THe fuse blows.) THe
gas hob works fine. I can't get the fridge to work off mains or gas,
nothing seems to happen when you turn it on mains (Does it make any
noise or anything?) and with the gas there doesn't appear to be any
ignition working.
Finally i can't get the tap to work. I've got an aqua roll and a whale
pump which runs off 12v electrics. I've tried plugging it in as it
looks like it should go but nothing happens. Can anyone tell me how i
should be doing these things to see if i am connecting it wrongly etc?
I don't want to take it back and look like a complete idiot!

Thanks in advance
Lucy

It takes ages to see a fridge work. They are silent. On ours the first sign is the outside vent gets warm and then eventually the ice tray feels cold. If your battery circuit is down the fridge ignition may depend on this, Firstly is your leisure battery charged? If you try an inspection light or similar directly to it does it work? The 12V lights will work on mains if it is connected so all the problems you mention could be done to the battery. If you look at the battery housing and follow the wires there may be an in line fuse somewhere. Dandies are very reliable.
