Can anyone recommend someone to service a folding camper in Nottingham?

I would like to get the trailer brakes etc checked out before the start of the new season.

could you not get the brakes checked at a local garage?

or even get a mobile mechanic out to your home to do the job?just a thought.

We have tried JR at Lambley. Unfortunately they only do servicing in Leicester.

We will try local garages, but I was hoping for someone with trailer experience.

Try CR&S in Derby. They serviced our caravan and are fantactic. Extremely helpful and professional. They also collected and dropped off the van. I'm sure they would do an FC if you asked.

I called in at south yorkshire caravans in bawtry and they qouted £160 for a service on a pennine pathfinder, is that the going rate? Thats a lot of money to me so I think I will buy a haynes book on how to service and do it my self.

I will let you know how i get on after Saturday. I am taking our FC for its service and shoudl get it back later that day.

Well, I can now report back on our experience with the trailerdoctor.

Shaun is a really nice bloke and has done us proud. He has serviced the trailer, given it a thourough inspection, replaced a cracked light lense, worn breakway cable and a leaky corroded plug on our FC. It was a hassle free experience and a reasonable prices.

Great service too, i dropped it off this morning and we have just picked it back up.

In fact we are in such a good mood now, that we are going away for the night in it !

I can highly recommend that if you have a TT,FC, Caravan, or any type of trailer, Shaun is your man !!!
