I wonder if anyone could please help me. I have been told by one of my friends that Cabanon used to supply the canvas for Conway tents but have stopped doing so over the last few years. If this is true can you please tell me when they did so and is the new canvas now used as good.
Also would a Cabanon Mistral be as good as a Conway Trio. In manufacture and size there appears little in it, but is the build quality the same?
I cant speak for or against the Conway. We have a Cabanon Saturn DL and its really good quality. The build seems to be accepted as the best, but most of what I see ref Conway's they seem to be on the plus side.Hope you get a good one.
Thank you for this it may help to make up a very confused mind. There are some great offers on Ebay at the moment but just not sure which one to go for. Budget of about 2000 to spend.
Cabanon have an excellent reputation for quality as do Pennine/Conway (same company) so I would choose one that suits your needs from either brands as you are pretty much guaranteed a good'un whichever manufacturer you choose.

The Canvas on My 1991 Conway Royale was made by Cabbanon. I am led to belive that the current Conway TT's are made for Pennine/Conway in France and shipped over
Thank you all for your much appreciated help on this matter and I am now (though not a lot clearer) a bit nearer to making my decision, and look forward to the on comming sunny weather.
Up till about 2002 Conway Trailer tents were made using Cabanon Canvas. After this date there was a change to another French Company whose name escapes me. However now Conway are once again selling trailer tents but these are made by Cabanon. Hope this is helpful. Cabanon canvas is excellent. We now have a Pennine Camper and it is made with another canvas but appears to be very good also.
I have a Cabanon Atlantis DL. It is very spacious and the canvas is excellent. Do look at both the Conway and Cabanon as a friend has a Conway which to me is equally just as good.
We have a conway trio and it is bigger than the mistral as it has three different ways of putting it up, ie the cabin, cabin and small living area and cabin, living area and an extra 1.5 metre area for longer stays. We choise this trailer tent because of its versitility and is a good size for family with amble living area for those rainy days in the uk! we got ours second hand too
Well what do you know, the STORK known as EBAY has made me the proud farther of a 2004 Cabanon Mistral. It's nice to know all those years of praying as a alter boy where not wasted, for someone must be looking after me.
