Recently picked up an ERKA trailer tent off ebay. We're long-time campers who are looking to move into trailer tents, but wanted to give it a try before spending fortunes.
Anybody know where I can get any literature on the ERKA trailers?
Tried Googling, but not much came up!
Any help or advice much appreciated
Hi and welcome to the site - think tey're an older make not made now but still a good few about so someone might be able to help - was it anything in particular?? I'm sure you'll love it - makes all the difference having a bed off the floor to sleep on!!
Hello to you, and thanks for the response. Appears to be french. There's a plate on the side which gives the model as a Type 781, with the year of manufacture blank and the number 62629 stamped at the bottom. That, rather sadly, is all I have! Neil
hi bought an erka off ebay myself leaked everywhere first time out but after a complete reproof seemed fine next time we went. But could have had something to do with the awful weather and flood.Couldnt find anything out about it either tried all over but arent they a great size for such a small trailer
Thanks for the response. Still no luck with documentation, but seems relatively OK on the water leakage front. Only had it up once so far though! Roll on a bit of decent weather. Neil
Excellent! Well at least there's a few of us out there with zero information on our rig! Enjoy France. I'm going to have a go at my local campsite first, to see how things are! Neil
First shakedown trip is planned for next weekend to make sure we have everything we need and knowing our luck with the weather we shall see if it leaks too !
Refurb going well! New Corner stands, canvas patched and proofed. Headed for Lake District at half-term with daughter. The wife doesn't want to risk it until we've tried!
Established we have a 1973 ERKA rig, which following minimal renovation appears absolutely fine. Bears out neil-erka's comments above. Neil.
Hi we just bought an erka and have issues with the front awning (living space). It's doesn't fit at same level as the bed area, it's much higher Nd the awning pole are fixed length... any ideas info or help pmease
