OH and I went to a nice big toy store the other week, well camping shop to be exact. I wanted to show OH the fc´s there.
We both like the Pullman but was just wandering how much storage space you actually have after you have put the cooker/sink unit on the floor as well as wardrobe etc. We would be looking at an awning as well as there are six of us, as we would like to keep the seating area as is and have two kids in an awning extension or pup tent.

Thanks

Hi thesixkings

We have had a Pennine Pullman for 2 years now and unfortunately have only been able to go on two summer holidays (not the extra weekends that we would have liked to cos of son's football).  We are 5 (2 adults, 3 children 12, 10 and 8).  We found we have plenty of storage.  Before we went on holiday, we put the sleeping bags and blankets on the beds and folded them in the camper.  We store a portapotti, microwave and step at least in the camper for the journey.  Don't forget you have loads of storage under the seats, under the sink, cutlery tray, cupboards, wardrobe.  We easily had enough space for the two weeks.  The only thing that was a bit of a pain was remembering under which side seat we had stored the swingball etc or the BBQ/slow cooker.  We kept the seating as seating and had a child sleeping in an inner tent in the awning (not bought an awning annex yet, but intend to do so sometime).  We also put the wellies and occasional stuff in the under bed skirts to keep the place a bit tidier.  GFI.

Regards

Hi there

Once wardrobe cooker sink etc is put away you do have some room to pack things  away. space between wardrobe end and chairs we put the awning bag, poles stored in lockers under seats along with other bit and bobs also water carriers in lockers fold up barbecue between wardrobe and fridge space, bedding and fold up chairs on top of folded setee bedding in wardrobe.all this does not leave much room for anything else but that depends on what car you drive. all pots and pans are stored in the various small cupboards. Hope this helps, we purchased ours this time last year only used it for weekend breaks but went away five or six times and realy love it. We have a ful 10 days booked in August plus lots of long weekends ahead can't wait.

In our Pullman we store the awning (canvas and poles) under the seat on the near side of the trailer. There is also room for the ground sheet ,bedroom inner , and other bits and bobs we us in the awning. The microwave and gas bbq are stored in the doorway and the water container and waste water container are stored at the side and end of the folded down wardrobe. Our chairs are placed between the wardrobe and the fridge/cupboards , this help to provent cupboard doors opening whilst travelng about. The bedding is stored on the beds throughout the summer. And there is still loads of space to store whatever you want.

Glenn

We kept everything in our Pullman except clothes and frest food when we weren't using it. That included awning, plus two extensions, 2 lots of bedding (both duvets) bed guard, 2 sleeping bags, waste & water containers, bar be que, kids toys, babies steriliser, pot's pans plates etc, towels, picnic table, recliner chairs, wind breaker, small table porta potti and lots more.

We are a family of 5 and managed really well with the Pullman so don't worry about space.

GO FOR IT!!!!!!

Thanks for all the comments. Just trying to convince OH to part with more money. Only bought the TT last year secondhand. But if we had known about the fc's would have got one straight away, as I like driving He hasn't towed TT yet. Looked at caravans but was a bit dubious.
We will get one soon

We bought an old  trailer tent from a friend last year to see if OH could take to camping. We put the tent up on the back garden and she sat in it reading a book all week, then suggested we go to purchase a ground sheet and to cut a long story short we came back with a folding camper, sold the trailer tent at no loss and never looked back.

We are hoping to go camping at the weekend as the weather is lovely at the mo. The campsite might just happen to be near the shop. They are doing last years model at about 11000euros with free awning and skirts plus we can get it tax free so that should work out at a good price

The camper has plenty of storage space.  At first I looked on it as a challenge - what can I get in it????  I did thin the contents out quite considerably after the first year.  We also shelved out the wardrobe leavinga small hanging space at the side of the shelves for shirst and trousers.  The bedroom extension is a boon but there is so much space in the awning that an awning inner bedroom is not an intrusion.  The bedroom annexes will sleep 2 each - if they are friendly!

We fidn our Pullman holds a tremedous amount. We fill the udnerseat lockers up with clothing and other stuff. We hang clothes in the wardrobe though this does make it a bit heavy. We put the awning and poles on top of the seats along with the loungers. Our toilet split and bagged goes down the bakc of the wardrobe. Our Water container and steps go inside the doros. The other cupboards are filled up with shoes and some food, pots and pans and cutlery. Hope this helps.
