Hi,we are new to trailer tenting and are going away to to Stanwix Park in Siloth.I was wondering if anybody knew roughly how many electrical items can be used at one time off a mains kit .I know this will vary depending on the items used but a rough idea would be nice to avoid tripping any switches .Thanks.

Hairdryers comsume a fair bit, both wifey and daughter plug theirs in together once, bearing in mind these aint the travel ones you can get, and they were shocked that they both stopped working at the same time.....also at the same time as nearly everyone else in the area!!!!!

Most other stuff like mobile chargers, fridges low watt lamps, radios, tv's etc dont consume too much but still need to keep an eye on what you use

The secret is to have very few available sockets! That way you cannot plug to much in at once (we have just the two sockets in our FC). If you go for lower wattage appliances (not necessarily special camping ones be they can be expensive) you will find that you wont trip out the electrics.

Many campsites are now offering 16 amp hookups which makes life easier. We use a low wattage kettle, hairdrier and have a fan heater (max 2Kw) and so far have not tripped out the campsite. Mine you I dont think that we have ever had all running at the same time.
