John uses caravan shampoo on the bottom taking care not to get it on the canvas. So far we haven't touched the canvas. Bird poo I have just used plain water on a flannel for.

Hi when i wash my f/c i use a cheap cream cleaner,Then i use a good polish well worth it look's brill...On the canvas i just use a warm damp cloth, then wipe it with a clean cloth.
Hi oaksoft--we had a Pennine Sterling for 3yrs and loved it, each spring we would clean all through and round, we used -- car shampoo and a polish for the body, when we had to clean the canvas we used Fabsil canvas cleaner and then re-proofed it with a couple of payers of Fabsil waterproofer, in certain corners we noticed a little speckling of black dots- we found out that a bit of mildew had started and were advised that when we clean with the canvas cleaner to do that area with a dilute solution of Milton sterilising fluid--but rinse thoroughly-- and then re-proof. It looked really good when all the hard work was done. The easiest way we found was removing the canvas from the poles and putting in on the folded body using a clean tarp inbetween. Good luck. Gary
Oaksoft--p.s....when I removed the inner bedrooms and roof lining I got the mrs to wash them in the washer but adding some Milton fluid to that too, this just keeps all them bits in check also. Always look in the folded corners of the bedrooms as this is where anything will start. Gary
