Male 50s seeking single males or couples to go camping with me.
My partner no longer enjoys camping, but I still enjoy it. I have all the camping equipment if you do not have your own.
I am based in Herts. I enjoy gardening, keeping fit and obviously camping.

I am a single male and looking for someone to go camping with too. My name is Tony, I am 76 years old and live near Oxford. Where do you usually like to go camping? My partner now lives in Australia and its highly unlikely we will meet again. We spent 2 wonderful months camping together in 2012 and I have had to go camping alone since then.

The weather is terrible at the moment but when we have a good spell, I have already planned a trip that will take me to both North and South Wales.
I will be camping at Bala for a couple of days while I visit Lake Vyrnwy. There are many other places worth seeing nearby such as the Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, but as I have already been there, its not in my plans for this year.
After seeing Lake Vyrnwy I plan to travel down the west coast to Traeth Mwnt where I shall camp overnight before heading to see the waterfalls near Pontneddfechan which is not too far away from you. After camping a night or two on a farm near the waterfalls it was my intention to head for home stopping on the way to see Caerphilly Castle and Castell Coch near Cardiff.

Hi,

Posting for my father who is a very keen caravaner. He has recently lost his wife who he was caring for, now requiring some friends to go caravanning/camping with. Father is 75 years young and lives in West Midlands. Anyone in the same position??

how old I'd the caravan?

Retro Caravan Club are a fantastic binge who have regular ralley all over. only requirement is the caravan should be 1990 or older.

Hi Tony, I posted on behalf of my father, who is recently widowed. He normally takes his caravan around the Midlands. He is going to be 76 in March. Not sure if he would consider going further afield. I live in Devon

Hi, tell me more about your father. You say he normally takes his caravan around the Midlands. Where in the midlands does he normally go, and does he live in Devon too.

We have not had the best of summers this year so I have not been camping. Instead I spent my time looking for a camper van ready for my planned 2 month tour of the Lake District and Scotland next year. After that I plan to do a trip to North Wales. If on my own it will be just for a weekend to see Lake Vyrnwy, but I am willing to extend that trip if I had someone to share the experience with.

When not going to North Wales I normally go south to the New Forest or South Coast. So far only places between Portland and Southampton. Again I am willing to extend that if I had someone to share the experience with.

I try to avoid cities as I prefer to see what nature has provided for us to enjoy. If your father is still interested in finding a companion it might be best if we can contact each other rather than through you.

Sorry not to have replied earlier but I have been busy searching for a camper van to use on my planned 2 month tour of the Lake District and Scotland next year. After that I plan to do a trip to North Wales to see Lake Vyrnwy.

Wales is one of the places I like to go to most, usually North Wales but there are a few places in the south I have been to and would not mind seeing again. Age has never been a issue with me and if you have a dog I love dogs.

Thanks so much for your reply :) Sorry for replying to your post so late aswell!
I'm off to southern England until March 2020 so it would habe to wait till then. I'm not big on social media so not sure how I can get in touch with you to discuss a possible camp though.
I hope you have an awsome time in the Lake District, I guess that will be in 2020 too? Lake Vrnywy looks awsome too!
Would like to get in touch in the new year, but not sure what the internet situation is like where I will so please have patience.

The easiest way to for us to talk about a future camping trip would be by email. I am more than happy to wait until the new year. I am not planning to go anywhere until after winter anyway.

I have never been to Lake Vrnywy yet but you are right, it does look nice and it attracts a lot of people. Not far from Lake Vrnywy is Pistyll Rhaeadr, the highest waterfall in the UK. I have been there and not only are the falls well worth seeing but also the surrounding scenery.
