We had a great fortnight and it was great to meet the valiant members who turned up for Bruces, Jan and Ali, also say a big thanks to all who stayed and braved out tehe weather, we had 13 no shows but altogether in the last three weeks they have had over 50 no shows and no calls to say they were not coming.
As yet I have not read through the 800+ e-mails in my Papa Pip inbox or the 500+ in my graham one so will find out in due course who had cancelled or let us know of any problems they had. (I daren't look at my own websites e-mails as they are usually more than the graham one and a bit less than Papa - going to be a long night! lol)

Next year has been provisionally booked as those who were on site know and there will be a deposit payable, sorry folks but that is the one stipulation that was suggested by both Als and myself and the site.

As always a big thanks to all who supported this meet and we look forward to seing you all soon, off to start unloading the caravan now and try to work out what we don't need in the future! May even resort to a tent and leave the caravan behind next time - then again.....

I may have been one of those no shows but I did e-mail Steve and Papa to let them know. unfortunately we had bad weather at Cannich and my 14year old daughter flately refused to go anwhere in a tent again this year. I was disppointe but had I forced her sahe would have sulked for 5 days.

Well the girls asked me when we can go again so they obviously enjoyed themselves.  As for the bonfire - lol, not sure i remember much about it!! .

Whilst you wre searching for your handbag, i was singing to myself in the showers!!  Lol, I was def still tipsy as I fell over then!

Definately think that geoff hiding the bottle of wine was a good idea and Rob says he def agrees!

I can`t believe we missed each other! I must have been rummaging under the trees when you went to the shower, if I had been a minute or two earlier we would have bumped into each other and I would have known I left my bag by your bed!

Not so sure it was Geoff that hid the bottle but I know it was the right thing to do, amazing how some folks react to a little Pepsi!

More bonfires next time, and maybe an easier quiz although the winners did get 36 out of 40 and the lowest was 11, most folks where between 20 and 30 so I reckon the blance wasn't too bad overall, as for the word search, well done Als, just a shame only one person managed to get it correct, amazing how the eyes confuse you after a sherbet or two! lol

I think compared to a lot of sites Bruce's has had a better time than most, certainly speaking to folks who have stayed there for over 50 years it is the worst they can ever remember, a few times its had wet patches but never as bad as this summer, same story all over the country I believe.

Anyone fancy a meet on top of Nevis..... don't forget the rock pegs!
