hi to all, we've not been on a uk camp meet for quite some time,so we would realy love to get back into the swing of things again (thats if my liver will forgive me )

i have looked at the main site and i still can't work out the cost /

it seems to be £68 for a weekend ticket?

is that with free camping? and it says up to 4 passes? i'm confused now

also do you know if there is a charge for kids (age 14)

hope someone can help

Several ukcampsite members are already booked in and we look forward to seeing them at the festival weekend.

The fee is currently £68 until the 21st of August and includes

  • For site hire from Friday to Sunday
  • UKCampsite members in designated area
  • Free entry to both days of the Festival upon display of wristbands
  • Access to Friday night in the Real Ale Marquee and Refreshment area
  • Access to Saturday nights entertainment in the Real Ale Marquee and Refreshment area
  • Discounted rail tickets subject to availability
  • Site security in operation from Friday 10am to Sunday 6pm
  • Application allows for up to 4 FREE weekend passes (wristbands) with the fee - children under 3 years old do not need a pass. Should you require more than 4 passes then the additional passes can be obtained whilst booking, at a discounted rate.

I always leave that stuff to the 'real boss'

I have just attended our last full committee meeting prior to the festival tonight and having heard from Geoff the excellent numbers of caravans and camping already booked in, it is highly unlikely that the booking date will be extended beyond the 21st of August.

You can download the ukcampsite members (discounted) booking form from http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/rally/2009_shackerstone.pdf

“Due to high demand, bookings for exhibitors, trade space, craft marquee, camping and caravans together with advance ticket purchases will now close on the 21st August”

A few days allowance over the weekend will be made for postal entries for caravan and camping only.

Well you re a miserable lot aint ya?

ONE person bothered to come and say "hi" and it was nice to meet you corpogreen Sir.

I have to say, that while there was plenty there for the viewing public, from a trade point of view, the turnout was pretty poor.

Maybe priced themselves out of the market by having such a high draw attraction? £15 to get in today seemed an awful lot to me.

The Red Arrows were good though, as ever.
