My plan is to be in Glencoe 18,19, 20 March so if anyone happens to be in the area I will be at the red Squirrel, always happy to meet new folks!
Now there's an idea for next year Scep. How about meeting up with Jim at Glencoe. I have heard that Scotland can be a wee bit nippy at that time of year but it will be a good test of early year camping.
We have just had invite to go up to Aberdeenshire to stay with hubbies cousin, at Easter. Got to camp as she has cats and I am allergic to them. She saisd there is a foot of snow at present and the temps at easter time are like a mid winter down here in Staffordshire.
Got to go and give it a go though. We usually camp late or early, not usually in the summer holidays but not done such cold one before. It does excite me though.
We usually get up and light a few tea lights in the BBQ inside the main tent and that is usually enough to heat the tent up to nice and toasty so we can walk around in our normal gear within 30 mins.
