Really looking forward to it.

The last time I camped in a tent it was so disastrous it completely put me off. It was about 15 years ago, was in the Chechen mountains on an adventure holiday with Explore Worldwide. It rained incessantly, the unmade roads were washed away so we were air lifed out by the Georgian army in a very large helicopter. I can laugh about it now, BUT!!! I hate the wind and rain, I hate being wet and cold.

I'm now the right side of 70 and the wrong side of 65. You could say I'd gone soft and you'd be half right.

A little about me, I am very happy being on my own, I've now decided that I wasn't cut out to share my life with anyone or a significant other. I enjoy company and I like solitude.

I live in Portsmouth on Portsdown Hill. I'm on Facebook and I'm on Sagazones as Elijay.

OMG! cant wait to meet you Liz and hear about your travel escapades. I have talked a couple of friends in their 70's into camping again next week, they are real softies so a few of us younger ones will be doing all the hard graft in setting up their camp.
Had to laugh about your 'a little about me' paragraph as I could have written that about myself, I adore marching to the beat of my own drum and a confirmed singleton.
I live in Sandhurst in Berkshire, this Graffham camp is only 45mins drive away, just as well as I will be setting up an unweathered canvas tent so I'll be nice and wet all week and may need to pop home to dry out lol

Hi Berni

Just found your info after searching for "women only - gay - Lesbian camping clubs, groups etc - unfortunately we cant be at your get together - its sounds wonderful and just the sort of thing my partner and I would enjoy being avid canvass campers ourselves!

Where can I find other events that you might be holding - camping or just chinwagging with like minded women ?  I dont use Facebook - do you have a website or can I send you my personal email address to keep me informed ?
