Our Dear Friends , Unfortunately Derek and I are having to cancel our intended breakaway and meet up.Last Friday Derek under went what was thought to be a routine minor back operation, This turned out to be a 4 hour major surgery, at this moment in time he is back at home and starting recovery however this is going to be a long process and We have been forbidden by his consultant surgeon to go camping or any thing else for a period of at least 3 Months. By this time it is hoped that He will be able to walk unaided again and restart our joint love of Camping.
I / We hope you can all understand how this has made us feel and the let down, but health is more important.
To all our futures and hope to make it to any meet up's planned for next year.

Well that is a great little site and reasonably priced. Toilet block is spotless and heated, although it might be tested at peak times, as there are only 2 showers and 2 toilets in the gents.
On Saturday and Sunday there was a free Classic Car, Traction Engine and Static Engine rally with car boot sale, clay pigeon shooting and other attractions. It was necessary to dash back to the van a couple of times, because of very short but heavy rain/hail on Saturday

I shall certainly go back there in the future.

I am so glad to you had a great time and I am truly sorry that after putting this together I and Julie could not attend and you was left on your own, we was planning on coming over yesterday to see you but Julie was called back to work,
Perhaps We could plan ahead for early next year to make up a mini meetup again and really get this under used site noticed by more members. as you are local to Us perhaps we can have a offsite meet up to do a bit of planning?.
thank you for your comments in prior post re my back , Things are looking up at the moment with more use and less pain being the advantage.

More than happy to meet up some time for a planning session - just get yourself fixed first. I know it's boring, but the old saying "more haste, less speed" is very true, especially where backs are concerned - it's far too easy to overdo it and go back to square one
