I can't understand some of the replys on here. Gary is trying to set up a camping weekend for campers with likeminded tastes in tents and is looking to invite the makers to the camp for campers to talk too for advise and help with issues. It would be our chance to tell them our likes and dislikes and they could possibly get some idea's for future improvements, how can that be a bad thing. We could also exchange idea's and experiance between each other on pitching, taking down and maintenance issues.
Ok Gary owns a camping shop on the site. So what, you don't have to buy from him. What he does have is the contacts and the space for people to camp for free for two nights in a nice part of the country, and what your getting is the oppitunity to meet a rep from your tent manufactures.
Yes i have been to Gary's shop when i last camped in Cambridgeshire, his shop is well stocked and his prices are fair but as already mentioned there is a Yeomans camping shop just up the road.
So here is whats on offer a nice campsite(no electric) with a well stocked camping shop and garden centre with coffee shop in a nice little village in Cambridgeshire for two nights FREE of charge.
You would normally pay for a site with a small or no shop, and have no garden centre or coffee shop available to look around.
I am thinking of going (not to camp) when other makes visit to see them and chat to owners and manufactures about them to get a good insite into other makes and models for when it time for a change, i mean what would be better when looking for another / new tent.
