We went to have a look at it yesterday morning when up that direction and didn't see any barriers into the public carpark. There was only a gate into the caravan park area. The council would need to put barriers on carpark as I would think it is a boy racers paradise at night there and it is right beside caravan park.
They have done a lovely job at cleaning it up and cafe looks well but think it is too close to busy main road with a wooden fence between caravan and traffic.
Antrim carpark used to be like that at night before they put up barrier that is closed when caravan park warden leaves at night. Swipe card for site opens gates for those in park and we have stayed there quite a few times and have not had any problems with cars at night since they started using this system. Caravan park is quite a bit away from the main road so you don't get the passing road traffic just the odd boat starting early.
Can't see Jordanstown being on our list in the near future. Saying that never say never.
