Don't mean to be a know it all Stu, but James Cook was born in Marton, Middlesbrough, but he did use Whitby as his port.

Floydfan,
The price for the Whitby meet is £11.50 a night, right? (or £13.50 with hook up) Now I know this includes 2 adults and up to 3 children but there is no concession for single folk. If I booked through the campsite it would only be £6.50 pn for me alone, or £10.50 for just a couple. £11.50 is a bit pricey for me especially as I have to pay the same as a family time and time again. And as a tenter I find it is usually us who run out of hook ups first.
But if I go as a loner I may be nowhere near the rest of you (again). My idea, as a lone camper of joining this forum and coming to these meets was to meet other people and therefore not really camp alone.
How dissapointed I am.
