Copious amounts of pies and bridies consumed Biz not to mention Pizza's stir fries...Sirloin Steaks with link sausage roast and baked tatties for tea on Saturday evening...Mostly cooked on the open fire..I was there two nights and ate like a king...Great w/end...Will wait till Jim posts his pics and elaborate on that...
All I will say is it was snowing heavily all the way from Crianlarich all the way over the moor and up to the ski centre...White out all the way up... driver doing 30mph in some places...Me thinking "What have I let myself in for?" Snow cleared half way down the glen...Village and site clear....

So how cold was it at night Jel? Which tent did you have?
Looking forward to seeing the pictures!
Aah! You took the Halo. (I've just read the Knoydart thread.)
Minus 2/3 Sat night Sunday morning...Armchair...Really cold most of Sunday morning....I was fine once in my s/bag that is rated to -7....We took a bit of a battering On Sunday night with high winds hitting the top of the mountains and rushing down into the site carrying rain and leaves with it...
Never even thought to check the tent when we got back from the pub...Woke up this morning at 7:45 with the rain chucking it down...The wee Halo was still intact...And more importantly...still over me...Checked the guys and pegs...All tight and where I put them when pitching....Gives me a lot more confidence in the tent to be able to stand rough weather...Though as you know I have liked the tent since I saw yours and the Biz's at Comrie...Happy with ALL aspects now that it has been tested in the wind.....

Wawww. So you guys didn't starve then! I'm feeling hungry just reading about your tasty campfire/Jim Call oven meals!
Jelboy, I'm glad your halo stood up to 'bad weather' challenge!! That is very reassuring. Still not had a trial pitch of ours but hopefully after my set of nightshifts I can pop it up and see it in its beauty!!

That's one of the reasons I have been chunttering on about the Halo Krazy....Knew you had got one....And hadn't had the chance to test pitch it yet...Always nice to get 1st hand experiences from fellow camping buddies about a tent your thinking of buying or have recently bought...The Biz...Armchair...and myself are happy enough with ours...I don't think you will be disappointed with yours...
I keep wanting to join the Wee George Tent Society after seeing all you lot use them.....
Wee George used his this past weekend...And was comfy enough in it.....
