Maybe out trip tp Le Chant d'oiseau in Loire Valley to Stu and Syb's should count as a UKCS meet. there are three seperate families going from South Wales in August this year, we booked a couple of months ago now to ensure a ferry crossing and site. We booked the ferry from Portsmouth to Caen with a company called Cheap4fares. We are travelling on Brittany Ferries at over £300.00 per family cheaper than booking direct with B.F. we are doing this route because it is out first time camping in France and taking trailer tents and I (the golden oldie) didnt fancy driving approx 6 hours from Wales to Dover and then the journey over the other side. If you book with Cheap4Fares to travel on Mon,Tues,Wed or,Thurs it is considerably cheaper than the weekend so we have booked to travel over on Thurs pm, stay in a Etap hotel in Caen with secured parking for trailers and travel down to Loire on the Friday morning, with the weather as it is at the moment we are hoping for some sun so that is one of the reasons for booking this site and after speaking to Stu both by phone and email we are all really looking forward to this. We have also been speaking to other UKCS members who are going at the same time so that should really count as a meet with Stu and Syb as host.
look forward to meeting any of you there in August 2007.
