I was hoping to get up there and meet some of you either NYE or NYD preferably NYD but as Im out until the wee small hours and been invited for my Nerday dinner I dont think its going to work out as planned...It would have been nice to meet you and put some faces to names..Apologies especially to Stuart and Elaine with whom  I had made a tenious arrangement to come up and see...Hope you all have a good time..and a Happy New Year to each of you...

Hi Pauline, 

I did not read your message before we went.  We got tickets for the party but we paid for them.  The owners never said that you had left the tickets for us.  That was very kind of you.  We never went in the end because the site had a power cut for ages and we did not want to leave the dog in the cold.  I think half the people that booked never went .  We had a nice time just sitting in the van.   The site had problems with power and when we left today some of the vans at the top still had no electric.  I will tell more once I get everything put away and the washing in the machine.  (I'm just in the door and had to check the e-mails.)

Were just back. The van's not unpacked yet so I will update later

Thanks to everyone who we met at The Woods it was great . Jim and I had a fab time.

sounds great.  sorry to have missed out.  we went to Thurston Manor.  It was all booked before I read this thread in December.  It was quite good.  Full though and we decorated the van with fairy lights.  First time away during winter and it was really good.  Will defo be doing it again.  Sorry not to have met you all, but sure to meet up some time I hope.  Happy New Year. xxx

Further to Bunny's thread in LIG..I was just thinking theres been no chit chat re the New Year meet except 3 comments from TT.. Kath..and Cathy..Or am I looking in the wrong thread...So..apart from the leccy cutting out did nothing else happen?? No new friends made..no stories from the Hogmany get together..Etc..Etc..
