Hi

We're thinking of booking for the Bonfire Meet at Wickham Market and just wondered if anyone has been to one?

Also , i may be being really dumb , but i'm a little worried about the whole tent/ firework issue. Last year one landed on our trampoline padding and melted it! So i'm now thinking maybe it's not a good idea to be camping under canvas (nylon!) with fiery missiles about!

Am i being a worry wuss?

There was another thread and yes there has been space held here for you all for many weeks.

There are some peeps booked but so far no host has been appointed by the UKCS peeps.

In answer to question about mixing fireworks with tents - we will not be doing so. There will be a bonfire on site but fireworks will be relegated to another adjacent site (that is if you guys are organising any!!)

I have just spoken with the site and there are around 10 units booked in so far.

We are still looking for a host for this meet, so if anyone is interested in simply meeting and greeting and getting peeps together on Saturday night for a drink then please drop me an email.

Hosting this meet will be very simple as bookings are direct, so peeps will report to reception on arrival and they will be directed to their pitches by the site, the site organises the bonfire etc. so not a lot for a host to do.

Well we are going, I am going to take the camper down and set up while the wife and boy are at school then go back and pick them up when they finish. That way i get to set up in daylight and without any distractions.
just checked the weather forecast and it should be fine all weekend.
