I wonder if anyone could give any advice on organising a large meeting of people (mostly blokes) that will be camping over a long weekend.
I'm helping to organise a large meet of about 75 people camping, we've organised the camp site. However one thing that's come up is the lack of toilet facilities from a health and safety point of view. There are only 2 male toilets and 2 showers at this site.
I've done some research and I can't find any mention of a recommendation of how many toilets to how many people you should have. I guess that if I don't provide enough I run the risk of unhappy punters, but they aren't paying me to attend this anyway it's a club rally!
Should I approach the campsite owners about this or with people's knowledge does this sound fine.

If they went to this site individually they would probably complain to the site owners, but as you have organised this site be prepared for the flack to come at you, perhaps you could have chosen the site more carefully and ensured decent facilities, is it to late to change venues? or perhaps you could make sure that everyone coming is aware of the sparse facilities before they go, then they have a choice

Does seem rather sparce facilities for such a large group.

Are they all tenters or a mixture of outfits whereby  some of your party may have  Porta pottis/luggable loos etc ?

They are all tenters.
The site wasn't actually picked by me, there are a few weeks to go and people are aware of the lack of facilities. To some that's not a problem to some it is. Nobody will be going under false pretences.
I've had some quotes done to rent some Portaloo's although they are quite expensive. I think I'll give the site owners a ring and see what they say.

Think portaloos will be too pricey.

Might be worth looking at the  LUGGABLE LOO

Alternatively many campers use a bucket with lid. ( cheaper option )

Line it with bio degradable bin bag first & put in cat litter. (  Tesco premium cat litter wood based comes in a blue 10l bag for about £3.99 and lasts ages. )

porta pottys are about £30 upwards + elsan chemicals to put in them . you can get  a toilet tent to go with it or use a spare sleeping compartment .

Thanks for all the replies.
We're all on motorcycles so can't transport any luggable loo's or portapotti's. So hiring portaloos it is at great expense I'm afraid!
