Hi all, thanks guys,
I think i'm ok - a bit shaky to tell the truth.
The boss is in South Africa right now so until he gets back i've got so much to do, meeting with the fire investigators etc.......Neil they do think it was arson, hopefully we will find out today when we're allowed back into the building.
Mathew i work at Barkerend Mill in Bradford - apparently it was on Look North last night and calendar. 50 fire fighters they said were there! I'm sure when i'm not feeling so shaky i'll kick myself for not enjoying therir company more..............:)

Anyway this is the wrong thread for this sort of talk really - sorry Donna

well this thread started as a WOW we all enjoyed the meet into a seamingless arument !!!

I have been to 2 meets one hosted by Superslob (marie) which turned into Claires birthday bash

and to Akebar which was organised mainly by donna ( she did most of the leg work of phoning and planing and i belive was helped by tel

i enjoyed both meets. both were different but similar

and there were some of the same faces at  both of them . so next meet i go to i will know more people

I can see the point of area orginisers and am sure Claire is good at that  ( in fact Claire helped me out with some queries i had about thortons holt ) as i didn't know how to contact marie

But it looks like the meets succsess are now there own demise as lots of people want to have the chance to meet others and are finding either they are not availble for the meets on the diary or when they do find one they can attend like Scarbough its all ready full .

If you look round the meets threads there are all sorts .......area ones, birthday bashes, under 5 kiddies, one parent and lone campers, chatters, large meets like Elvaston .

  And like lots have said on this thread lets not fall out on a subject that we all agree with and thats MEETS no matter what form they take.

so if  you read a thread of a meet just be happy for the people that enjoyed it and be greatful for the organisers

I wish i could go to more meets but work commiments mean i can't

as others have said, lots of peeps go on the "organised" meets and still go on "mini-meets" which are organised between themselves.

as long as people are happy doing whatever, wherever and with whoever it doesnt matter what sort of meet it is!

I cant believe that this time last week we were all at Akebar having a few well earned Stella's and me and Angieg were helping matthewh and scotty65 erect their tent.

It seems like it was ages ago and I wished the meet had been longer

I think if they were longer I would certainly address my drinking issues - drink the same amount just make it last the length of a longer meet lol

Hi Everyone,

I just want to clear a few things up on this thread and I appologise if people have read it wrong,

The meet at akebar for next year will be the one I will be organising along with the other meets for the region and if Donna decides to have another birthday bash there,I will leave that up to her.

I do hope this clears matters.
