Hi Ian, not sure about bus routes but I think you can get a bus from Gretna to Kirkpatrick Fleming, From memory (not to be relied on! lol) There is a train station and bus stop at Greatna. It is only 12 miles from Carlisle (approx) if that helps too!

The train line runs near to the site if you fancy getting the train and jumping off at the railway crossing!
